Dasher Does Different!

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Cherry Cobbler
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Stamps:  Dasher, Notably Ornate, Perfect Punches, Curly Cute
Acc:  1 1/4" circle punch, string, basic jewels, sponges, 1 3/4" scallop circle punch

Here's a completely new layout not just for Dasher, but for me!  There are lots of details here, including the main image panel extending right from top to bottom and the sentiment from right to left, but the focus is clearly on Dasher.  Yes, you read correctly, I sponged Pumpkin Pie ink to give Dasher grounding: I wanted to highlight him and I like using Pumpkin Pie with Bashful Blue, so it gives him a nice glow!  The large frame stamp from Notably Ornate made the perfect frame for the image panel and the Bashful Blue accent keeps everything fresh and crisp.  I had fun making this card and it was nice to experiment with a different design and stretch my comfort zone.  As always, our Stampin' Up punches make light work of any cutting job - how did I get that two toned accent?  Easy, I stamped it twice - once in cherry cobbler and again in bashful blue.  I used the 1 1/4" circle punch to punch out the centre sentiment and them layered that straight on top of the bashful blue version.  I love looking at my stamps and seeing which parts I can use differently, you'll be amazed at the variety and scope you may already have.

Happy Stamping,
