I do love this image from the "Nature's Nest" set. I saw this reflection technique using a different image and thought it would work well with this tortoise. If you are going to make a card like this, make sure you make at least 2 in the one go, otherwise once you give it away you won't be able to admire it anymore!

Stamping the reflection requires a piece of acetate or clear plastic. I use a small piece of overhead projector plastic, but any similar smooth plastic is suitable. First stamp your main image on whisper white cardstock and then ink up your stamp again and this time stamp the image onto the plastic sheet. Hold the plastic sheet by the edges and turn it over so the stamped image is now facing downwards and hover this image below the one you stamped first. When you are happy with the placement, press the acetate to the whisper white and gently rub the back of the acetate to transfer the reflected image. Now colour as desired!
I coloured the tortoise using my blender pens and then masked the main image to sponge the background and sky. The sky is Marina Mist with a touch of Tempting Turquoise and the ground is Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. I tore a strip of post-it pad to create a horizon, and kept sponging until I was happy with the depth of colour. I added a few lines with the white gel pen to simulate water ripples, then sponged the edges in Early Espresso to frame the image.
