New AUTUMN/ WINTER Mini Catalogue Workshop

I hope you have all had a happy Easter and have enough chocolate to get you through the last of the school hols!  The new Autumn/ Winter mini catalogue has arrived, with a host of creative goodies, so I am having 2 hands on workshops for you to come and play!  The first workshop is Friday 16th April 7.30pm - 10pm and the second workshop is Sunday 18th April 2pm - 4pm.  Both workshops are the same, so you only need to book into one.  Bookings are essential as there is a maximum of 8 per workshop for your crafting comfort.  The cost is $5 to help cover the cost of materials and you will make up to 8 cards/ paper items to take home with you.  Come along to experience the SU Big Shot, new stamp sets including CLEAR MOUNT sets, 3 new in colours and more.

SU has teamed up with Sizzix to offer you the multipurpose die-cutting system you have been waiting for!  This manual die-cutting machine works with card stock, paper, fabric, chipboard, plastic and more.  Use the machine with exclusive Stampin' Up! dies or Sizzix dies - plus it's compatible with other dies on the market.  The Big Shot can also be used with SU Textured Impressions embossing folders to create deeply embossed images with just the turn of a handle.

Clear Mount rubber stamps are here!  Enjoy the same high quality rubber and foam found on the wood mount stamps in a new clear mount stamp option.

A new punch design with a larger cutting surface and space saving storage, as well as a new 2-step punch.  With the 2 step bird punch you can layer all the pieces together or individually.  Punches are better than ever!

And I had better show you a card:

Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Choc Chip. Whisper White
Ink: Choc Chip, Close to Cocoa
Stamps: Fox & Friends, Heard from the Heart
Acc: Urban Garden DSP, Choc Chip 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Stampin Dimensionals, Crystal Effects, Blender Pen

This simple card uses the gorgeous monkey from the new Fox and Friends set.  I used my SAMJ to position the monkeys on top of each other.  The actual monkeys are inked in close to cocoa, then rock n rolled in choc chip ink to give subtle shading.  I sponged the edges of the WW cardstock in close to cocoa, then matted on choc chip.  The card base is Baja Breeze with another layer of BB that I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (getting a good workout those polka dots!), then a simple strip of urban garden paper behind to anchor it all.  I adhered a small piece of folded choc chip grosgrain ribbon on the side, popped the whole piece up on dimensionals, then stamped the sentiment in choc chip ink directly on to the paper.  Lastly, I used my blender pens to add a bit of close to cocoa colour to the monkey's belly and topped it with a bit of crystal effects for dimension.
