Project Life Title Page ~ Adventure Awaits

Yes, I have mismatched boxes filled with family photos.
No, I have not done my children's baby books.  Or their kinder years, or primary years in chronological order.
Yes I have the best intentions to remedy that. One day.
"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step."  ~ Lao Tzu

These wise words mean that I can let that go for now.  What I can do right now, is work with what I have in front of me.  I can begin now.  So I did.  Here is my 2015 PL Title Page.  I knew I wanted to use this photo - a carefree summer beach shot that sets the tone for the promise of the year ahead.  No one needs to know that this shot was taken on the one day in early January that our family was able to visit the beach in between a whole month of incubation and subsequent chicken pox quarantine.  (That's a whole other PL page).  I enlarged my photo to 8x12" and then cut it apart.

The starburst stamp from the Kinda Eclectic set was ideal for a fireworks-type background, so I embossed it using different coloured embossing powders.  Fun and easy.  I used the matching thick bakers twine and cut the year using my Perfect Print Big Shot dies and gold foil sheets accented with a strip of gold fancy designer vellum.

The matching title card includes more starburst fireworks and gold embossing powder on the fabulous sentiment from the "Adventure Awaits" set.  The gold fireworks are actually flower centres from the "Flower Patch" set!  I hand cut the title and popped it up on dimensionals for good measure.

Now all I have to do is continue documenting this year ;)
