Jolly Gift Card Holder

Well, this year I have a few giftcards under the tree as presents for others, which is a great excuse to whip up a simple gift card holder.

Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink:  Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps:  Delightful Decorations
Acc:  Ornament punch, 3/4" and 1" circle punch and corner rounder (optional), Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, Jolly Holiday DSP

From one sheet of A4 you can make 3 of these very simple holders with basic supplies.
Cut a strip 8cm x 21cm and score 4.5cm from one long end and 7cm from the other.  Fold along these score lines to make a pocket for your gift card and a top flap as shown.  If you would like to, round the corners of the top flap and make a small half circle punch on the inside pocket.  Stamp on your cardstock or adhere paper as I have.  Use snail or other adhesive to stick the inside pocket edges down.  Tape 6mm or less wide works best as it allows the card to slide in and out easily.  I used a simple sliding band to keep the holder closed, the old olive strip is 2.5cm x 21cm, I simply folded it around the closed gift card holder and taped in place.  You can add any decorative finish to the band or leave it plain as you wish.  Yep, you really can make these on Christmas Eve without breaking a sweat.

Happy Stamping,

  1. Could you convert your card measurements to inches please? The A4 paper corresponds to 8 1/2 x 11’ish. Thank you!
