How do you use your stamp-a-ma-jig?

I have been having quite a fling with my SAMJ lately, so I thought I would share some cards.  Once you get the hang of using and pronouncing it, the SAMJ allows endless creativity.  I have simply replicated images in the cards above, you can use your SAMJ to omit part of an image, to extend, to line text up accurately, it just lets you position your stamped image correctly BEFORE you stamp it.

Happy Birthday Card (top)

Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Blue Bayou (ret)

Stamps: A Little Birthday Cheer

Acc: SAMJ, retired DSP, Large and star punches, dimensionals

To give the color variations, I inked the stamp then used the SAMJ to position, then stamped off a second time without reinking (give your stamp a "huff" first) using the SAMJ to position above the first image.

Birthday Celebrations

Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey

Stamps: Occasionally, Upsy Daisy

Acc: Urban Garden DSP, SAMJ, Dazzling Diamonds, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches, dimensionals

I stamped the images using the method above, this time stamping off twice before reinking. I used a bit of dazzling diamonds on the top of the presents and mounted the top one on its own with a dimensional.  The sentiment was hand cut and shaped to curve like a banner by popping a dimensional under the centre, and then curving the outer flag edge upwards.

A fun and effective way to build up a focal image from smaller images with the help of the SAMJ.  Now it's your turn.
