A very big thank you to all those who came along on a warm night to see how Stampin' Up! can be a part of your lives.  It was lovely to see so many first time stampers getting inky, and the variations achieved from the one stamp set and ink colour family.  A big shout out to my friend and upline, Lisa, and my very supportive husband, Andy, and children.  Without them I would not be able to do this!

Curly Label Tag

Cardstock: Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive, Riding Hood Red

Stamps: Cute and Curly (available as a bundle with curly label punch), Flight of the Butterfly

Accessories: Curly Label Punch, small flat cellophane bags, ribbon, string

Ink up your label stamp with old olive ink, stamp image onto whisper white cardstock.  Ink small butterfly from Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and carefully stamp inside the label stamp.  Punch out your label and punch a small hole for the string to go through.  Package up your goodies ( I choose sweets to match the RHR ink), tie a ribbon around the bag, then attach your label. 

Hint:  Stamp your label images right way up in a row along the bottom of your cardstock.  The curly label punch can then move easily along the stamped images, so you do not have to waste time and cardstock navigating the punch.

Matchbook Favour

Cardstock: Glorious Green, Real Red

Ink: Versamark, Craft White, Basic Grey

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Flight of the Butterfly

Acc: 3/4" circle punch, eyelet border punch, small flat cellophane bags

Makes 3 matchbooks per A4 sheet of cardstock.

Take a piece of A4 cardstock and trim it to 210mmx240mm.  Score along the length of the cardstock at 75mm, 85mm and 175mm.  Now trim your cardstock into 3 equal pieces by cutting at 80mm and 160mm.  Whilst flat, punch the short bottom edge with the eyelet border punch.  Stamp the Upsy Daisy on the opposite flap, making sure to have the cardstock facing the right direction.  I used Versamark ink for a watermark image.  You can use ink to match your cardstock if you have it.  Punch a round window hole above your daisies if desired.  Stamp your sentiment on a length of real red cardstock that is 80mm wide.  Once you have a straight stamp, trim to approx 10mm wide.  Adhere this along the bottom edge under your eyelet border.  Stamp small flower image in craft white, check the stamp at eye level for placement.  DO not smudge craft white ink, it takes longer to dry than classic ink. Fold along score lines to make matchbook shape.  Place your treat (I used bought giant chocolate freckles) in a small flat cello bag and fold the excess bag under to stop the treat falling out.  Carefully staple the folded edge of cello bag in the centre under your sentiment.  The staple is very discreet if you get it in the right spot!  Tuck the upsy daisy flap under the eyelet edge and you're done.

Hint:  Using Versamark for a watermark image saves time when doing multiple colours as you do not have to clean the stamp when changing cardstock colour.  Versamark is invaluable for background stamping as you do not need to have the matching ink for your cardstock.  It will leave behind a watermark that is one shade darker than your cardstock.  Works best on dark/ bright cardstock.
