Some of you have been able to make this darling box-in-a-bag with me recently. It uses the lovely images from the Artistic Etchings stamp set, and the timeless Eiffel tower image is very much in vogue right now. I have adjusted the measurements from this original box-in-a-bag tutorial (for those of you who need reminding, there is a video tutorial included with the link above).
The measurements listed below allow two bags to be made per A4 sheet, with extra cardstock required for the box base and handles/ tab closures. You can use plain cardstock or paper and stamp to your heart's content, or use designer paper to save time. I also ran the stamped piece through my Big Shot to give the cardstock more texture and flexibility.
Bag: 1 piece cardstock/ paper 148mm x 210mm
Box base: 1 piece cardstock 130mm x 90mm, scored 20mm in from each side
I use tombow multipurpose liquid glue (item 110755) in place of sticky strip, it is a fabulous adhesive and at A$7.50 it is economical and excellent for papercrafting. I like that there is a little time to move your pieces into the right position before the glue really grabs - and a little goes a long way, so easy on the squeezing finger! Lol, the first few times I used it, I was in a gluey mess.
Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Soft Suede (used for tag)
Ink: Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Certainly Celery
Stamps: Artistic Etchings (121478 $33.95 Wood mount, $26.95 Clear mount)
Acc: Satin ribbon, Round tab punch (no.4 119864 $33.95), Houndstooth textured impressions folder (123134 $14.95)
I never knew the houndstooth embossing folder could look so nice. Great little box, Liv!
