Happy Birthday with the Stamp-a-ma-jig

This card uses the fabulous "Crazy for Cupcakes" stamp set.  I was very excited to find that the "Happy Birthday to You" sentiment was able to be stamped into a circle using my stamp-a-ma-jig, then punched out with the 1 3/8" circle punch to make a nice medallion.  I love finding other ways to use existing stamps, I wonder what else I can use in the same way?

Cardstock:  Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Acc: 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1/2" circle punch, taffeta ribbon, dazzling diamonds

If you have never used a SAMJ before (or have forgotten how), here's how I did it:

Line up your blank acetate sheet with the corner of your SAMJ.  I use the bottom LH corner, you could choose any corner, just make sure you remember which one you choose and keep it consistent.

Using the plastic "L" shape as a guide, and keeping the acetate sheet firmly in place, stamp the image onto the sheet fitting the corner edge of the stamp into the corner of the SAMJ.  Now you have your image all ready to position and see where it will go BEFORE stamping it on the actual cardstock.
Go ahead and stamp one of the "happy birthday to you" stamps on the cardstock.  Then using your imaging sheet, line up the words to form a circle.
Now that you have the imaging sheet in the right place, carefully put the SAMJ back against the corner of the imaging sheet.  In this case it is upside down, since the words are being stamped upside down, you can turn the sheet around to face you.  Once the SAMJ is back in place, remove the imaging sheet and  stamp the sentiment using the SAMJ as a guide.

There you have it, one custom stamped circular sentiment, all ready to be punched out!

Happy Stamping,
